Aircraft Maintenance

Aircraft maintenance forms the backbone of any aircraft operation. With a passion for excellence, K2 SmartJets’ has established its very own maintenance division - K2 TECHNIK. Focused on the customer needs, K2 TECHNIK understands the fundamental reason why aircraft are built – to be continuously flying. Safety and quality are our mandate which has its deep roots in our VIP charter operation. K2 TECHNIK currently offers line maintenance services at Athens International Airport (LGAV) offering both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, interior and exterior detailed cleaning, and routine servicing. And for the unforeseen mechanical problems, K2 TECHNIK also supports a mobile repair team (MRT) available for dispatch anywhere in the world – getting you airborne again in the shortest time possible.

Training Center

Our commitment to quality aviation services starts with the training and expertise of our staff. Investment in people forms the cornerstone of any successful business. In the near future, we will complete our vision for Cloud 9 - an International Aviation Training Center that provides a high standard for maintenance and pilot training. Cloud 9 will not only train experienced maintenance technicians worldwide to the latest generation of aircraft, but also foster new professionals from the bare basics. All B1/B2 licensing courses as well as aircraft type-ratings are instructed to the world-recognized European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards.

And the capability doesn’t stop there… with the demand for qualified flight crews increasing dramatically Cloud 9 will soon incorporate an aircraft type-rating branch for pilots. Focusing on selected aircraft types, this service will form an integral role in supporting industry requirements and sustained future growth of competent professional pilots in multiple disciplines and aircraft type-ratings.

With successful implementation of essential seaplane legislation, Greece is now a pioneer for the revival of the seaplane operation within Europe. With over 1,200 islands scattered throughout the Greek waters, and over 230 island destinations for the domestic and foreign traveller, AIRWAVES will start scheduled flights from the existing Water Airports in the Ionian Sea and will gradually expand operations adding chartered and medevac flights to key destinations in the Aegean Sea, Crete, Khalkidhiki and the Argosaronicos gulf, including further scheduled flights, as the new airport assets come on line and demand increases. AIRWAVES will be certified to provide aircraft maintenance services within the first 6 months of its operation. AIRWAVES aims to increase the fleet, reaching 30 aircraft in the next 7 years, alongside with Greek Water Airports S.A. developing and putting into operation its pipeline of water airport assets.
